President of Hansalim Cooperative Federation & National Alliance for Food Korea
Ms Cho, the President of Hansalim, has been raising awareness of agriculture and food through the teaching of nutrition science since she joined Hansalim in 1990. After being the president of the local Hansalim Cooperative for a long time, she was elected as the president of the "Hansalim Cooperative Federation" in 2019, representing Hansalim together with 800,000 household members and 2,100 farmers' households. She is also the President of the "Korean Federation of Sustainable Agriculture Organizations" and the "National Alliance for Food KOREA", where she advocates for the introduction and proper promotion of a comprehensive food strategy and makes policy proposals to ensure sustainable agriculture and the basic rights to food in Korea.
