The man from Seeland in Bern is one of the best-known figureheads of Swiss gastronomy. Decorated several times with awards, points and stars, since 2007 the entrepreneur and chef designed and built up several catering businesses for the Seven Group in Ticino and for Heinz Julen in Zermatt.
Adam is the author of several award-winning cookbooks and has travelled all over Switzerland in his TV show "Schwiizer Chuchi mit Ivo Adam" (SRF1) to discover local culinary specialties. In 2015, the business magazine "Bilanz" ranked him among the most successful Swiss under 40. Adam has been director of Casino Bern since 2016. Casino Bern is an important cultural and social meeting place in the region and the venue for the Bern Symphony Orchestra. Also since 2021, Adam's project portfolio includes the new "Frohsinn" restaurant and store in Bern's old town near the cathedral, featuring sustainable dishes and products.
