As an agronomist, Ralph Langholz travelled a lot internationally in the field of certification and control of organic food. He then brought SMEs from emerging countries together with importers and buyers in Europe. In 2017, as a pioneer within Migros, he ensured that Swiss consumers could try insect burgers (Simply Bugs) in Migros. As head of alternative protein sources at Migros subsidiary Micarna, he is now responsible for vegan meat substitutes and is also involved in the future topic of cultured meat.
